With the unction of the Holy Spirit and a clear directive from God, Elder Fondrea Lewis founded and organized the Greater Glory Church in the year 2014. The Greater Glory Church’s founding members are Sis. Wanda Lewis, Sis. Kayla Evans, Sis. Keisha Henderson, Deacon Howard Henderson, Dr. Lisa Munoz and Bro. Gary Brunson. The church held its first Sunday morning service on November 23, 2014 at the Renaissance Hotel in Newark, NJ.

        Pastor Lewis immediately instilled into the members of the church that the ministry focus would be to change lives, save souls, and to produce citizens suitable for the kingdom of God as well as the earth, and to be rapture ready when Jesus Christ returns. While in its infant stages the Greater Glory Church began to develop ministries such as the Hospitality Ministry. Hospitality, the focal point of our pastor’s personality, is a direct reflection of her love and compassion for God’s people. The liturgical dance ministry now known as “Glory” was the second ministry initiated at the start of the Greater Glory Church.

      Since the church’s humble beginning, the ministry has been blessed to increase from its initial membership of six to now having approximately two hundred members and growing.

As directed by God, Pastor Lewis set precedence for the church’s founding scripture to be that of Haggai 2:9, “The Glory of this latter House shall be greater than of the former; saith the Lord of Hosts; and in this place will I give peace, saith the lord of hosts”. Already surviving various hurtles and attacks; the Greater Glory Church is encouraged to press forward to be a body of believers that God can count on for his glory to be revealed in the earth.
